Dosha balancing Lunch
Lunch should be the main meal prepared by love, composed with six taste and 5 elements. if it is possible an eco friendly, environment friendly, satvic, organically grown, locally grown, Vegetarian or Vegan, cooked with spices or herbs which are suitable for your constitution (Prakriti)or Disturbances (Vikrit).
In one sentence it should be easy digestible and Agni & Ojas improving. It should not be heavy for digestion and Ama & Tamas producer!
To eat well with Ayurveda Principles, we should know basically what are all the important food items we need for an ayurveda food. Modern nutritionalist talk about calorie, carbohydrates, protein, fat and vitamins but on the other hand ayurvedists talks about the basic need for a healthy food is grains (Carbohydrates), Lentils (Proteins), Vegetables ( Bitter principles), Fruits, Milk and Milk products and spices& herbs added with- depends on the constitution or imbalances.
A vegetarian healthy food means a combination of grains and lentils. If you have time and money you also add the vegetables.
